Special Editions of the Impreza Turbo

Impreza Models

Catalunya (1996)

The win of the constructors title in 1996 was celebrated with this 200 cars special edition (again without the number 13). The Rally of Catalunya was the one where Subaru got the last points for the WRC-victory. The first Cats were registered in march 1997 and the price was £21,610. Many of them were ordered with extras like sunroof, leather seats and other options to increase dealers profit margins as the demand for the car was so high.

  • Special black mica paintwork (red metallic flecks)
  • Colour matched door mirrors
  • Gold Alloys (same ones as fitted to 2.0 Sport, but painted gold)
  • Front and rear seats and side door panelling re-trimmed in black with red highlights
  • Short rally style gear knob (initial sales blurb promised a quick shift!)
  • Carbon fibre effect center console
  • Air conditioning
  • Special floor mats (black with red trim and Catalunya logo)
  • Side and rear Catalunya decals
  • Interior numbered Catalunya plaque in the cockpit
